Leonidio 4th Climbing Festival is here! Dear climbers & friends,
Did you know? Leonidio is THE place to be in November 2022!
We are excited to announce the fourth official climbing festival, organized by the Municipality of South Kynouria, which will take place from November 3 till November 6.
Just a three-hour drive from Athens, Leonidio has established itself as one of the best climbing destinations for winter climbing in Europe. We are blessed with a particularly mild climate, intense but limited rainfall and long periods of sunshine. Many of you have visited our beautiful village and have experienced the stunning cliffs surrounding Leonidio. Currently there are more than 2500 routes across a wide range of grades, and there is still potential for many more.
We are grateful for the contribution of many amazing people , who have helped to develop climbing in Leonidio. We are expecting well-known photographers such as Sam Bié, along with journalists from the German climbing magazine “Klettern” Christoph Völker, and from the 8a.nu website – the most popular climbing web portal.

We have included the event programme which includes numerous activities. Highlights include the lottery of the Grand Prize, which is a 5-day fully-inclusive stay in Leonidio, including tickets from any European destination on Friday as well as the presentation of prizes to the winners of the various competitions organised by Vertical Life, on Saturday. Apart from the cliffs, festival events will be hosted at the exceptional exhibition center Fabbrica of Culture.
